The Diptyque Orphéon Club
CREATIVE DIRECTION
To celebrate the launch of Orphéon Eau de Toilette, the upstairs private listening room of Public Records was transformed into The Diptyque Orphéon Club, an intimate listening experience inspired by the fragrance’s Parisian jazz-club heritage.
The creative concept translated the world of Orphéon into a contemporary nightlife setting built around sound, light and reflection. Saturated blue lighting, chrome and mirrored surfaces, vinyl records, vintage styling and glowing neon created an atmospheric extension of the fragrance, balancing Diptyque’s refined visual language with the character of a Brooklyn music venue.
The evening featured an all-vinyl set by DJ Stretch Armstrong, scent-inspired cocktails and integrated product-discovery moments, bringing together musicians, artists and cultural tastemakers for a one-night launch experience.

Orphéon takes its name from the legendary jazz club that once stood beside Diptyque’s original Boulevard Saint-Germain boutique. Rather than recreating that history literally, the design captured its intimacy and musical energy through a distinctly contemporary lens.
A candlelit pathway and glowing blue entrance created the transition into the experience. Inside, reflective materials multiplied the saturated lighting, while vintage rugs, records, magazines, lamps and deep violet florals added warmth and texture. At the center of the room, Stretch Armstrong performed an almost three-hour vinyl set beneath the illuminated Orphéon sign, connecting the launch back to the fragrance’s roots in music and nightlife.
